We are a multicultural, loving and fun family of three and have lived in Vancouver since 1992. We live in an amazing 5 bedroom house that is too big for us and we would love to share our space and lifestyle with students who prefer the comfort and safety of a family environment. We live on the top floor of the house and have 3 guest rooms for rent on the main floor with a separate entrance. The 3 guests will share a bathroom but will also have a fully equipped kitchen, dining and sitting area. Rooms are furnished elegantly. Dunbar is situated in Vancouver's prestigious west-side and is surrounded by beautiful trees, lush forests, prestigious schools and parks. Our house is within 5 minutes of walking distance to movie theatre, community center, library, grocery shops, restaurants and buses. There are few buses within a block of the house. It takes 30 minutes to get to downtown with a direct bus and UBC is 15 minutes bus ride (direct bus) with ~5 min walk to the bus stop. The house is 15-20 minutes away from the airport. We are an ideal homestay for international students as we will allow you the space and environment to thrive and also have fun. We love outdoors, gardening, music, cooking, yoga and practise a positive, fun and loving attitude in general. We also love travelling, meeting with new people and learning about new cultures. We look forward to welcoming you in our home and being part of this beautiful, multicultural city. We respect each other, will respect you and will expect the same from you. Our home is a unique blend of traditional and modern values where there is no place for any illegal activities (illegal downloading, gambling, recreational drugs etc.). Alcohol consumption and overnight stays are only allowed with a permission. Quiet hours are between 10 PM and 6 AM. Sorry, but if you are a smoker please do not apply as we do not allow smoking in the house or anywhere in the vicinity. We believe in sustainability and would expect the same from you. You are expected to cook and clean for yourself but we can provide transportation, if needed. Cleaning duties will be shared with the other guests.
